BRENDAN FRASER
|
BRENDAN FRASER (Adam Weber) is an actor as comfortable in an offbeat independent venture as he is in a mainstream major studio property, and he brings freshness and old-fashioned charm to all his film roles. He starred in the title role of the $100 million-hit George of the Jungle. Most recently he starred in the romantic Still Breathing, for which he was named Best Actor at the l997 Seattle Film Festival, and opposite Ian McKellan in Gods and Monsters, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. Fraser will next be seen in the adventure film, The Mummy, and reunites with Hugh Wilson as the title character in the live-action cartoon Dudley Do-Right. His other films include School Ties, Mrs. Winterbourne, With Honors, Encino Man, Airheads, The Scout, and the recent 150 million dollar box-office hit The Mummy. On the stage, Fraser starred along with Martin Short, Parker Posey and Elizabeth Perkins in John Patrick Stanley's Four Dogs and A Bone, directed by Lawrence Kasdan at the Geffen Playhouse. Other stage credits includes roles in Arms and the Man, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Strange Snow, as well as productions at the Intiman Theater in Seattle. For television, he starred with Faye Dunaway, Jennifer Beals, Garry Marshall and Rosie O'Donnell in the Showtime movie adaptation of Jon Tollin's critically acclaimed play Twilight of the Golds. |

CHRISTOPHER WALKEN (Calvin Webber) is one of America's most prolific actors with recent credits that include Antz, Suicide Kings, Mouse Hunt, Touch, Excess Baggage, Nick of Time, Batman Returns, Pulp Fiction, Last Man Standing, True Romance , The Prophecy, and Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead. He will next will appear in Illuminata with Susan Sarandon and Abel Ferrara's New Rose Hotel. Walken received both the Academy Award and the NY Film Critics' Award for Best Supporting Actor for his breakthrough performance in The Deer Hunter. He starred again for Michael Cimino in Heaven's Gate. His other early films include The Anderson Tapes, Roseland, Annie Hall, The Dogs of War, Pennies From Heaven, Brainstorm, Dead Zone, Biloxi Blues, The Milagro Beanfield War, Communion, and King of New York. Christopher Walken first danced on the Broadway musical stage in "Best Foot Forward." He won the Clarence Derwent Award for his dramatic debut in "The Lion in Winter," the Obie Award for "The Seagull," and the Theatre World Award for a revival of "The Rose Tattoo." More recently, he appeared in "Hurlyburly," directed by Mike Nichols, and the Joseph Papp productions of "Coriolanus" and "Othello." For television, Walken received an Emmy nomination for his performance in the acclaimed Hallmark telefilm "Sarah, Plain and Tall," reprising his role in the sequel "Sarah, Plain and Tall: Skylark." One to continually suprise audiences, Walken showcased his singing and dancing abilities on all three of his guest-hosting stints on "Saturday Night Live." |

SISSY SPACEK (Helen Webber), five times Oscar-nominated for her dramatic film performances, now takes a break for some comedy. In l979, for her portrayal of singer Loretta Lynn in Coal Miner's Daughter, Spacek received the Academy Award for Best Actress. She had received her first nomination for Carrie, which followed her breakthrough performance in Terry Malick's critically hailed Badlands. She received her third and fourth Best Actress Oscar nominations for her roles in Costa-Gavras' Missing, opposite Jack Lemmon, and Mark Rydell's The River, opposite Mel Gibson. She received her fifth nomination, as well as the NY Film Critics Award and a Golden Globe, for her performance in Crimes of the Heart with Diane Keaton and Jessica Lange. Her additional film credits include Robert Altman's Three Women, Welcome to L.A. and Heartbeat; 'Night Mother, Marie, The Long Walk Home, Raggedy Man, JFK, and the ensemble cast of Truman Capote's The Grass Harp. For television, she starred in the HBO film "A Private Matter," directed by Joan Micklin Silver; in the Emmy-nominated Hallmark film "A Place for Annie," the family comedy "Trading Mom," the miniseries "Streets of Laredo," opposite James Garner and Sam Shepard, and the Showtime movie "Beyond the Call." Spacek received an Emmy nomination for her co-starring role opposite Tommy Lee Jones in "The Good Old Boys," which Jones directed. |

DAVE FOLEY

DAVE FOLEY (Troy) of NBC's "NewsRadio" completes the starring cast. One of the co-creators and stars of the influential sketch comedy troupe, "Kids in the Hall," Foley also stars in their film, Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. Additionally, Foley served as the voice of Flik in the 1998 film A Bug's Life. Other feature film credits include the comedies The Wrong Guy and Hacks. Foley will be seen next summer in the comedy Dick, a parody on the Watergate Scandal. On the television front, Foley portrayed astronaut Al Bean in the Emmy-nominated HBO dramatic miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, produced by Tom Hanks. |
